Dermatology

Dermatologists are doctors who specialize in treating conditions that affect the hair, skin and nails. Dermatologists earn a medical degree and complete an internship after which they receive three more years of specialty training in their chosen areas of specialization. Some dermatologists do not specialize. The American Academy of Dermatology, one of the largest and most influential dermatology associations counts more than 16,000 dermatologists as members.
